Triple-S Steel Co. was founded in 1960 by Bruce Stein. It began as a small steel supply center selling new and used steel adjacent to his father's scrap yard. Since that time it has been passed down to the next generation and has grown to be one of America's largest family owned structural steel service centers. 

 

The Triple-S family of companies includes several different names, each operating with offices and warehouse facilities in several cities. Together, they offer over 200,000 tons of stock inventory available for sale every day. 

 

It was more than 30 years ago when Triple-S increased its product offerings to include fabrication hardware, welding equipment, safety supplies, and decorative ornamental metals. It was one of the first companies to offer a true "one stop shop" for the small steel fabricator. 

 

In April 2011, Triple-S Steel, Salt Lake opened adjacent to the Intsel Steel West location, marking the first Triple-S store outside of Texas. We are proud to offer an exhaustive line of products found in the Triple-S catalog, as well as roll-forming equipment to expand our reach in the metal roofing industry. Our facility is over 80,000 square feet and features the only indoor usable remnant yard in the area. We provide our customers with a convenient and efficient way to access the steel products they need. 

 

In October 2013, Triple S Steel expanded its operations by opening new locations in Grand Junction, CO, and Farmington, NM. These additional facilities serve to complement the existing ones in Denver and Salt Lake City, enabling us to better meet the steel needs of customers throughout the western region.
